KingCo prosecutors file charge in 1978 killing
SEATTLE - King County prosecutors have filed a murder charge for a killing that took place in 1978 in Seattle.
Police say DNA evidence from the clothes of the 15-year-old victim, Sara Beth Lundquist, matched with Clarence Edward Williams who has been serving time in prison for another killing.
The 62-year-old is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 7 in King County Superior Court in Seattle.
Lundquist was a high school sophomore who was raped and stabbed while walking home from a bus stop after a movie.
Williams was convicted of fatally stabbing a 21-year-old woman. Laura Ann Baylis, in Seattle not long after Lundquist’s death.
